    About

You may have already gotten a hint of this already… but I LOVE what I do! Documenting your wedding day is such an honor!! Since we’ll be spending a lot of time together on the big day, I want to make sure you really feel like you know me!Let’s start with my first camera!  It was a Canon Rebel t2i. It was old, dinged and damaged, but it was beautiful. I’d take pictures anywhere and everywhere! As my knowledge grew, I’d take more classes and buy new equipment but that camera still stuck with me. I have used photography as a way to tell an emotional story and sharing your most sensitive of memories with those that you love.I thrive on telling your love stories one wedding at a time!

My photography journey starts back before I was born. Four generations before me were film photographers. I always admired the beautiful documentary style of photo journalism and never really liked how super “posey” photos came out; and while I love seeing other photographers’ props and setups, I prefer more natural and candid atmospheres.

When I first started shooting, I thought I needed to buy a ton of props, backdrops, studio lights, etc. After a few newborn sessions, I knew that wasn’t going to be my style. I started to specialize in Children’s Portraiture and Family Photography while falling in love with some amazing families and shortly after, Seniors started contacting me. Quickly, I realized how much fun I had working with them also.
Then came a gorgeous sunset engagement session. I had never met the couple before and needed them to show how much they were in love with each other in front of me, a stranger, with only one hour to shoot, before dark, was a challenge I gladly accepted. Within minutes, I took the focus off of me and turned it on to their partner. Love glowed brightly throughout their entire session and after a few games and fun casual posing, I thought “Wow, if I love engagement sessions this much, I wonder how I would do with a wedding!?”A few months later, a friend of mine from high school posted that he was looking to barter services with a photographer to shoot his wedding coming up that summer. I quickly jumped and explained “I just need one person to trust me enough, even though I’ve never shot a wedding before”. He said he had loved my other work and gave me the honor of shooting his beautiful bride and him on their big day! I cried with them, I laughed with them, I even got a hug from Grandma at nights end. To this day, I thank them tremendously for giving me that opportunity, it’s changed my life. Here we are, years later and I continue to educate myself on how to capture those precious moments in a way that will help tell your story to everyone you meet along this journey. I know this is a big moment for you and I know what it means to have it captured with beautiful clarity with every passing memory. I am asking you to trust me with your most precious of moments and I thank you for the honor of spending your day with you and those you hold close.

    My family:

Aside from photographer, I am a wife, mother, step mother and mommy to an angel in Heaven. We have two pups that are like children to us and love to spend our days camping and fishing with friends! We love going to the movies and spending time with loved ones.

When I started photography, it was right after my daughter has passed away from a Congenital Heart Defect, (CHD) known as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and I used photography as a way to keep my mind busy and to help people capture memories that would forever be documented because tomorrow is truly never promised. It has helped me heal tremendously over the years and I am thankful to give the gift of memories to each Client.
